VALUES AND GOALS OF FOLKLORIC DANCE AND CLASSICAL BALLET EDUCATION
Students will not only learn about dance and choreography but they will also be educated in dance history, tradition, culture, communication, and expression through folkloric dance.
Students will develop music appreciation through the unique rhythms and instruments used in traditional songs for practice and performance.
Students and audiences will be exposed to a fading culture of artistic European traditions.
Students will build self confidence and personality as well as self awareness as they develop physical, mental, and spiritual strength through dance training.
Folkloric character dance training has been a very important aspect of dance history and it will enable students to fully understand and experience dance from a truly professional background based on classical ballet.
